Launched in 2008 as an indigenous Nigerian platform, Comicpanel began with a bold mission: to showcase Nigerian creators and talents to the rest of the world. Over the years, it has grown beyond its roots, becoming one of Africa’s leading digital news and culture platforms for comics, animation, cosplay, films, books, and gaming.

From the start, Comicpanel believed that African creators deserved the same spotlight enjoyed by their peers around the globe. Today, that vision has matured into a movement: documenting, celebrating, and amplifying the voices of African creatives while connecting them with international audiences.
