Themed “Who Is the True Nigerian?”, the award seeks to celebrate authentic Nigerian values, unity, and character through the art of animation using visual storytelling as a tool for national reawakening and creative empowerment.

Open exclusively to Nigerian animators, the competition will feature three major categories 3D Animation, 2D Animation, and Stop Motion Animation ensuring creators across different techniques and styles can participate.

The NOA has committed an impressive ₦22.5 million in total prize funds, distributed as follows:

  • ₦10 million for 1st place
  • ₦7.5 million for 2nd place
  • ₦5 million for 3rd place

These substantial rewards underscore the agency’s dedication to nurturing local talent and recognizing animation as a vital medium for education, culture, and public engagement.

Nationwide Broadcast and Visibility

In a major boost to the visibility of participating works, the NOA revealed that winning animations will be broadcast nationwide for three months across its media partner networks.
