From October 7–9, 2025, the city of Lagos will once again transform into the heart of African animation as it hosts the 9th Season of the Lagos International Festival of Animation (LIFANIMA). With the theme “Everybody is Getting Animated!”, this year promises new vibes, same love for animation, and even bigger opportunities for creators, fans, and industry players.
LIFANIMA has grown into one of Africa’s leading platforms for celebrating animated films and storytelling, creating space for cultural exchange, training, networking, and showcasing some of the most innovative works from Nigeria and across the continent. The festival brings together animators, studios, fans, investors, and students in an energetic environment where art meets technology.
